Niva Medical Oy was established in 1990 by Mr. Jouko Niva. Mr. Niva has been involved in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation since 1984. Niva Medical Oy was located in Munich, Germany in 1990-1995. Today the home office is in Espoo, Finland, just 20 minutes from Helsinki airport.

Niva Medical Oy represents four American physical therapy- and rehabilitation equipment manufacturers in Europe, Middle East and Africa on an exclusive basis. These manufacturers are Mettler Electronics Corp. (Est. 1957, Anaheim, California, USA), Whitehall Manufacturing Inc. (Est. 1946, City of Industry, California, USA), The Saunders Group (Est. 1982, Chaska. Minnesota, USA), Doczac Enterprises Inc. (Est. 2000, Blaine, Washington, USA). All four of them are recognized as leading companies within health care industry.

HUR (Est. 1991, Kokkola, Finland) and HUR Labs (Est. 2006, Tampere, Finland) are represented by Niva Medical Oy exclusively in Middle East including Israel and Turkey. Mediflow Inc. (Markham, Ontarion, Canada) is exclusively marketed in Scandinavia, Baltic –countries and Russia by Niva Medical Oy.

Niva Medical Oy manufacturers the line of Polar Products in Finland. The flagship is Polar Frost Pain Relieving Gel. Polar Frost is menthol based gel. Which is sold throughout the world, in 45 countries. Polar Frost carries CE, FDA and several other registrations, including TGA for Australia.

Polar Band Exercise Band and Tubing, in latex and latex free forms, are well-known and widely used by professionals in physical therapy and wellness world. The latest addition in the product line are Polar Treatment Tables, sturdy, stable and strong couches.

Niva Medical Oy has been exhibiting over 20 years at Medica exhibition. Medica is the largest medical show in the world and it takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany every year in November. You will find us always in hall number 4, stand D26. Arab Health is the similar exhibition for the Middle East market place. It is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Niva Medical Oy has been exhibiting there for the past 12 years.

Over the past 17 years Niva Medical Oy has provided equipment for thousands of facilities both in Europe and Middle East. This includes for example building up the complete Burn Centers in Iran for all 40 provinces, hydrotherapy treatment centers for most Middle East hospitals and clinics, hundreds of satisfied practicisians in Europe as well as in Middle East.
